Choose an ESD diode supplier by identifying who owns the part definition, who delivers the traceable lot, and who accepts a quality or application issue. A useful supplier response goes beyond a voltage label. It asks where the external current enters, whether the protector appears before a long trace to the IC, where the high-frequency return closes, and how the system fails. If only one lot shows abnormal leakage or shorting, support should connect that observation to the sample and receiving records.
Provide a compact application page: interface voltage and rate, local schematic, PCB image, discharge point, polarity, operating state, failure behavior, and changes already tried. The supplier can then state candidate conditions and a validation list. The customer approves the result on the intended board, enclosure, cables, software, and power state.
The supplier should also state its boundary. A component company can explain its device and support board review. It cannot promise a system pass without the system, the test configuration, and an agreed functional criterion.
